Self-exclusion and limits at Nano
Account tools let you decide in advance how much you spend and how long you play, and to step away completely when you need to. This page explains how to set a deposit limit, how to take a break, how to self-exclude and — because the cashier is what this guide focuses on — what happens to your balance and to a pending withdrawal when you do. The general overview is on the responsible gambling page, and the rest of the guide starts at the home page.
Which tool fits your situation
| Tool | Effect | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps deposits per day, week or month | Keeping play inside a fixed budget |
| Loss limit | Blocks play once net losses reach a set amount | Stopping the urge to chase losses |
| Time-out / take a break | Suspends the account for a short period | Distance after a bad session |
| Cooling off period | A longer pause, often of weeks | Resetting habits without a final decision |
| Self-exclusion | Closes access for a long period, often months or years | When gambling is causing harm |
The periods offered vary by operator and account; check the options shown in your account rather than relying on a list elsewhere.
How to set a deposit limit
- Log in and open your profile or account settings.
- Find the section for limits or responsible gambling. Labels differ between operators.
- Choose the period — daily, weekly or monthly — and enter an amount you could lose without it affecting bills or savings.
- Confirm and take a screenshot of the saved limit with the date.
- If no self-service option exists, ask support in writing to apply the limit and keep their confirmation.
A loss limit or a session limit is set the same way. Lowering a limit usually applies immediately; raising one usually requires a waiting period. If you find yourself trying to raise a limit during a session, that is useful information in itself.
How to take a break or a timeout
A time-out suspends play for a short period you choose. It is designed for moments when you know you need distance but do not want to make a long-term decision. During a time-out you normally cannot deposit or play; check whether you can still log in to view the balance and request a withdrawal. Unsubscribe from marketing emails and switch off app notifications at the same time, so promotions do not pull you back early.
How to self-exclude
- Look for a self-exclusion option in the account settings. If there is none, write to support asking to self-exclude, stating the period you want.
- Ask for written confirmation of the start date, the end date and whether the exclusion can be lifted early.
- Ask whether the exclusion also covers other brands run by the same company, and whether marketing will stop.
- Delete any app, remove saved passwords and consider gambling-blocking software on your devices.
- Remember that excluding from one operator does not exclude you from others. If several accounts exist, repeat the process for each.
What happens to your balance and a pending withdrawal
Before you self-exclude, try to withdraw your remaining real-money balance, so nothing is left in the account. If that is not possible, include the question directly in your exclusion request: “Please confirm how my remaining balance of [amount] will be returned, and whether pending withdrawal [reference] will still be processed.”
In general, an exclusion stops you from playing, not from receiving your own money. Expect, however, that:
- verification may still be required before a payout, so unfinished KYC can delay it;
- bonus funds, and winnings from an incomplete wagering requirement, may be forfeited under the bonus terms;
- the payout normally goes back to the method you deposited with, in your own name.
If a withdrawal stays pending after you have excluded yourself, contact support by email with the reference and keep every reply. If that fails, follow the escalation route on the complaints page. The withdrawal guide explains each status.
Ending a limit or an exclusion
Self-exclusion is often irreversible until the chosen period ends, and that is intentional. When it ends, some operators reopen the account only after a request and a waiting period. Before you go back, set a deposit limit first and ask yourself honestly whether the reasons for the exclusion have changed.
